Hi,
I installed Oracle 8i Personal Edition in Windows 98. My question is that how should I come to know that Oracle is started or shut down.
I mean when it is installed in Windows XP I go to Control panel -> Services -> checks the status of Oracle Listener and Server manager.
So how to check in windows 98.
Bye
Ashutosh

I guess that tool (anti-virus?) which noticed you about presence of that virus should be able to disinfect your computer. I believe any of them should be fine (Sophos, Norton, AVG, ...) - there are plenty of them; perhaps to choose one of free of them first.
I didn't quite understand what does your last sentence have to do with either virus or database status. What opportunities are you talking about?
