Hello,

I am a newbie and I hope someone could help me with a permission problem.

I am working on user permission project in RMS. As an administrator, I can authorises users three options: WRITE, READ, NO ACCESS to the database. And for each user, they will have three functions: Administration, Bank transfer, ledger view.

Every time when we change the user's administration to WRITE, all the other two functions: Bank transfer and ledger view, should be changed to WRITE.

However, after running the SQL the other two functions haven't be changed to WRITE.

So how can we solve the problem? I am totally lost. Hope someone can help me with this.

Please give a little touch of yor technique to do it.

I will be definitly try using ROLES for such requirement.

thanks very much for your quick response!!

I think I need read more about ROLE in order to get some background about this.

But I feel a little depressed because I only know the basic SQL: SELECT xxx FROM xxx WHERE xxx.

So how can I add this ROLE into my SQL language in order to help it running.
