[B]]Note that db file scattered and sequential read are generally the top wait events when the instance is tuned well and not OPS/RAC. [/B

i read this in a statspack doc.

is this true ??

in what way is RAC affected for sequential/scattered reads ??

Hi

Not sure about the exact context this was taken from, so maybe I am not fully correct.

In my mind, the statement *CAN* be true - it depends.
- You can also see a lot of wait for fx. Pl/sql lock timer.

I guess what Your document means is that RAC introduces a number of extra wait events, some of which can go quite high on the list.
