Candidates should posses a great deal of initiative, creativity and problem solving ability as you will be at the forefront of software development for the complex and growing derivatives market.

You will be joining a team of MIT alumni that has experience in bringing complex trading systems to market. The right candidate will be expected to uphold the highest software engineering standards. Technical Qualifications:
* Experience architecting and developing business software applications
* Excellent knowledge of good software design principles and object-oriented programming
* Familiarity with metadata driven software development
* Experience with configuration management / versioning control policies and tools
* At least 2 years experience with Java
* At least 1 year experience with relational database systems
* Excellent interpersonal communications skills
* A vision for the future, and a desire to make a difference
* BS or MS degree in Computer Science or similar
* Experience with Web development (especially Spring) a plus
* Experience with JDO a plus
* Experience with JMS, JTA a plus
* Experience using or developing financial trading applications a plus
Non-Technical Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience providing technology/architecture leadership a plus
* Understanding of software release lifecycle management a plus
* Experience supporting live, production systems a plus
* Experience mentoring peer or junior developers a plus
It is REQUIRED that the candidate be located within commuting distance of New York City.
