Hello,
I am getting the following error when i try to connect
./lsnrctl start
LSNRCTL for Linux: Version 9.2.0.4.0 - Production on 23-AUG-2006 11:53:07

Please Somebody help.

Try to stop/kill the listener before you restart it.

If that doesn't help, assign a different port number or kill the process that is using your listener's port.

Thanks Frank, Its worked for me.
I have followed the following process:
1. Stop the listner
2. Reconfigure the Listner for the same port.
3. Restared the server.

Hi ,
How come changing port number will be a solution to this.
I am a learner DBA, so please explain ....

does Address already in use means port already in use?
