Hi,
I am using AS 10g 10.1.2.0.0 and Discover of the same version. I need to order the items in one column in a different way than what Discoverer is producing by comparing the items using their ASCII representation.
I created an alternate sort using another item where the ranking of each item is defined in my desired order ('A' -> 5, 'B' -> 3, etc).
When I create a report, I can sort the column using my defined alternate sort. However, when I try to specify a condition in the form:
'column_name' > :parameter
it seems that Discoverer reverts to using ASCII comparisons to evaluate this inequality, thus producing wrong results. Has anyone encountered this? Can I do something to correct this? If this is a bug, does anyone know if it has been fixed in 10.1.2.0.2?
Thank you,
Antonios
