Hi all

I have a production database of size 1000 GB. It genrates aprox. 60 GB to 100 GB archive logs in a day. What should be the backup strategy to reduce recovery time.......

***once in a month cold backup is allowed by management***

You may want to consider Incrementally Updated backups. With this strategy, you'll minimize the amount of data you have to backup daily and you can configure it so that you'll never have more than one day of redo to apply. Look here for more information.
