Can any one tell me the way to manager archiving on any other machine than Server

I have installed database on a pc and I wanna to keep my archive destination on another pc, then what shud I do?
I hope that u will undestand my question now.

Archived logs will be created only on the "server".
You can share a drive/filesystem from another "machine" and mount it on server. From database server it will look like that the share is local.

If the server will crash then where from u will open ur database. I think it will be done by creating a standby database. what do u think?
