Does anyone know if there is a way to generate a pdf report which has a display only background color, meaning that when the user prints the pdf, the background is just white, but when they view it on the screen it has a color.
We have a report with 5 slightly different copies all of which are a different color. When we print it we are just printing it on colored paper because wasting ink on a background color would not make much sense. I was hoping I could find a way to preserve the background color in the display of the pdf however, so the color would also appear if the user wanted to say email the file rather than simply printing out a paper copy.
I have been googling around for this point I don't even know if the pdf format supports such a thing, but if anyone else does know I would apreciate the info.
