Hi!
I am a beginner here, trying to create a new Local net service name "Import" to my present DB (service name:Swit), a DB-link for my user, where I will use a new Loggin and passw.

I tried to use the Net conf Assistant... made me confused...

Later I will create a Synonym referring to a table i the DB.

Thank you so much in advance!

OK Smile done!
But I have insufficient privileges to create a synonym.

A privileged user (SYS, for example) should grant you this privilege:

SYS> GRANT CREATE SYNONYM TO your_user;
