I wouldn't know; Administrator will answer this question.

But, why would you want to do that? Forum is a live thing - questions and answers, a discussion. So, how would you check new posts? Have them mailed to you?

If it was a BLOG, I guess this *could* work, but on a forum ... I, somehow, doubt it.

It wouldn't be too difficult to add. However, it will introduce a lot of new problems. For example: SPAM messages, consistent formatting, handling of MIME attachments, etc.

In my opinion you should not lower the threshold for people to asking questions, since it would cause a massive growth in standard-questions being asked. (pivot query, tns-problems etc)
