Hi.

I'm porting my oracle development from a windows platform to a linux (Suse 10.1). I use 10g XE and want to use sqldeveloper.

But, i'm a newbie and have trouble getting sqldeveloper to run.

So:

Which java-version do i use?
Where is java installed (path)?

Hope you can help on this one.

Nicolai

Update.

I have figured it out. So no problems.

I have the same problem on Ubuntu on my laptop. It works fine on my server which does not have XGL/AIGL compiz or beryl installed.
When you turn of XGL , the window comes up ok and you can login, but after that you still get strange behaviour and in most cases it just aborts altogether. Clearly there is a conflict with some libraries. I have not found a solution yet.
