how to insert image in oracle report 6i [message #173521]

Hi, how to insert image into oracle report? I would like to add a logo as the report header. Does oracle report 6i has this feature? what format of image accepted by the report?

Yes, it is supported. Select "File Link" in the Paper Layout Toolbox and draw a square; in this item's Property Inspector, set Source File Format = Image and find the image in "Source Filename". That should do it ... Supported formats include JPEG (all types), PNG, BMP, TIFF, GIF, CGM, and OGD.

Hey littlefoot

How are you?
Im trying to do the same thing in oracle reports 10g. When i try to add the image to the top left of the paper layout because when you deploy reports on the internet for some reason my paper layout is displayed not my weblayout
anyways when i add the image or the date and time i get an error on the web page.
Have you seen this before?

The reason why i didnt put the error message is
because i dont have it here i was just informed by my
colleuge about it i will get it tomorrow but have you
ever experienced this type of issue before until i get it from him?
He just informed me that when he adds the logo the report fails but when he removes it the report runs fine.

I'm afraid I can't help you much ... I didn't see it before. This is what Maaher suggested: "check out metalink Note:260557.1" Perhaps it'll help.

I just renamed the file from .gif to .jpeg and it worked Smile
