Hi,

I have a SAS application which was connecting by ODBC to Oracle Database 8i. Since we upgraded to Oracle 10G, the connection time (even before doing any queries) is very, very long. I realize that since I upgraded to 10G, I got a lot more "objects" (synonyms, views, etc) appearing in my list. I have about 41000 objects "available" and I think the problem is linked to that change in the database. Is there a way to limit the number of objects returned by the ODBC driver? I tried different drivers (Oracle, Microsoft, DataDirect) and although some driver are faster than others, the time it takes is much too long.
Thanks.
