This is my issue, I would like to design databases which is each slightly different for each customer. And the databases reside in my server. So better to put all in one database or make many databases?

thank you
regards,

effendy

are these databases all meant for the same application? or are they for different application?

if they are for different application , it makes sense to have different databases..if they are all for the same application, it may be better to have one database..

Well, Not really the same application,
but the applications will run on server then the client connect by remote desktop connection.
well, from the infrastructure, i already disagree bout running the program by remote desktop. but what can i do...??

If the applications are different, then they should reside on a different database.

that makes for logical grouping isnt it? -since the applications are different, even from security point of view, why should they share the same database?

sorry i m new one to develop real application Smile

ok. the condition is like this :

I can make an application support only for one client,

but I afraid in the future if I need to customize my application

and will impact my database structure and result with new different

databases.

And problem is company only provide one server.
