Hi,
In data gaurd configuration, if the standby system is on remote location, what should be the band width of the network or any recommended value.
- Oracle service should run as which user on a windows os, because in case of the remote standby disk being a disk mapped to the primary database , if we leave it to run as local system account then archive log destination gives permissions related errors.
Cheers,
Yash

use serivce attribute for LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_n to ship redo,on standby you(normally oracle user) should have write access to the "location" LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1
>>what should be the band width of the network or any recommended value
it truly depends on how much redo you are genarating
Thanks
Madhu
