I am using a scounix server with oracle DB.the computer says 'incorrect login' for my root user.but i didnt change my pw.i am logging as oracle and the DB is ready for use.But to shutdown the server i got to login as root.niw i am switching off the server without proper shutdown.I need a solution to find the root password without any reinstallation.suggestions please.

What does resetting the root password on SCO have to do with Oracle?
What's wrong with using the on/off switch?
