Hi,

I intend to recreate my database on testing server. Can I manualy create tablespaces on different locations (on testing server) and use full import of production database?

Thanks

Do user-by-user import by specifying fromuser/touser clause.

And what about tablespaces, can i change location???

Names of tablespaces and datafiles would be the same as on production database.

Yes. Just precreate the tablespace in whatever locations you want.
The tablespace does not even need to be in the same name ( if you use fromuser/touser option).

since it is a test server you can use the same username then you can drop fromuser/touser. depending upon the imp utilty version fromuser/touser may not work properly, for example imp utility that comes with 8.1.7.4 has problems

Thanks

Thanks for your suggestions, I create tablespaces on different places and full import suceeded without warnings. I preserve the same names as on production database.
