I Request you all to please guide me.
I am from India, My age is 40 years, I am harware and networking engineer having experience of 14 years.
recently i have completed intructor-led training from oracle workforce center NIIT for oracle 9i dba track.
now i am planning to do Oracle Apps DBA from oracle partner spider system.
Please guide me I have following queries
1. Does age play important role to get a job as oracle apps dba even though i have done oracle 9i dba.
2. should i do apps dba ?
3. should i persue doing OCP instead of apps dba.
4. dataware housing cognos ?
5. sun solaris admin ?
6. red hat certification ?
which will give me a better long lasting growth path and fastly fetch a job.

Hi,
I came to know that there are good job opportunities to the Oracle Apps DBA. You need to concentrate mainly on CLONING AND PATCHES (these are two different extra tasks you have to do as apps dba).
If you can attend a tution in Hyderabad. One institute in SRNagar is offering training cum 100 percent placements for apps dba program. Its name is SPAM Technologies.
