Topic icons - could they be modified a little bit? [message #162206]

There are two kinds of topic icons: blue ones which say that there aren't new posts in this topic, and red ones which, on the other hand, show us that there are new posts since our last visit.

Could those icons be modified in order to show users that they participated in topic discussion? They might stay the way they are - red and blue, but with ... I don't know ... a yellow circle on it to show I have some posts in there. Does it make any sense?

I don't know about other forum members, but I'd like to have such a feature enabled Smile

Thanks for the suggestion - it's definitely a good idea! However, we will have to do some homework to see how easy/difficult it would be to implement, and what performance impact it would have.

While we are on a topic associated with 'better than red and blue', I would like to be able to mark an entry as either 'unread' (go back to red) or 'to revisit' (another colour).

I second that. It would offer the chance to first browse the whole list, and afterwards revisit the marked topics.

Edit: Better yet, offer the possibility to watch a thread. Not by being notified by email, but by displaying it as an alternate icon.
