At least 8 years software design, coding & testing experience with extensive hands on experience in OOD/OOP and Java
At least 2 years of in-depth, hands-on experience with all aspects of J2EE
Proven expertise with Oracle RDBMS, including performance tuning techniques
Hands-on Database Architecture and Development experience
Experience with source code control systems
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, and Framework Manager, including a thorough understanding of Security Filters and Parameter Maps
At least 1 year of in-depth, hands-on experience with Cognos’ ReportNet SDK API. SDK experience will include, but not be limited to
User authentication
Report execution and parameter passing
Modifications to the content store
Dynamic creation of, and updates to, the Framework Manager Metadata model
Execution of action logs through script player
Report scheduling
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2), including schema design
Experience with XML and DOM APIs
Strong knowledge of software development processes and best practices
Demonstrable skills in data structures & algorithms, coding standards,
and formal test techniques.
Committed team player with a positive winning attitude
Excellent technical writing and communications skills
Experience developing successful commercial software applications
over multiple revisions
Experience with source code control systems
BS in CS, CIS, or Math or equivalent
