Description:
Our client, a business solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer.
Required Skills:
At least 5 years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience, including Oracle 9i (9.2) or higher, Perl 5.x (including objects).
Advanced knowledge of SQL, ability to apply SQL creatively to a wide variety of business requirements.
Considerable prior experience with Oracle data warehouse projects.
Knowledge of data warehouse architectures, project lifecycles and dimensional modeling.
Prior experience with software development and deployment in a Unix or Linux environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Interested in solving business problems; can expand on business requirements as needed to develop technical designs.
Knowledge and experience working with ETL architectures and data staging schemas.
Strong attention to data quality and warehouse quality assurance.
Team player, takes initiative to identify project or technical obstacles and resolve them.
Comfortable working with a rapid, iterative development approach.
Some exposure to UML, particularly state diagrams and state transition concepts, is a plus.
