I have multiple oracle homes. I am having personal Oracle 7 and Developer R2.1 installed in one home and Developer 6i installed in other home. When i am trying to connect through Developer 6i to Oracle 8i or Oracle 10g database, it gives TNS Packet Writer Failure error, however it gets connected to the local database.

Tried different things but still it is not working. I have WinXP as the operating system. Through Developer 2.1 it gets connected to the Oracle8i and Oracle 10g databases.

Thanx in advance
