Hi all,
I have run a statspack report over an hour period and got the following

244 table scans on long tables during the whole report
and 95,849 on short tables (almost 30 per sec. and 6 per transaction).

Can someone please explain what long tables are and also what short tables are.

many thanks

Alan.

Hi,
Thanks for the info.

So in an hour period I had 95,849 full table scans on short tables. Is it possible to get information on the name of these tables?

I am guessing that this could be a performance bottleneck.

regards

Alan.
