Oracle 8i is been desupported years ago.
It is gone for real.
Time to upgrade.
I have no idea about SAP or how SAP installation is tied with oracle Installation.
Oraclec 8i (8.1,7) terminal release has known issues with Pentium 4 machines.
for p4 issue
1. Copy the entire CD to a temp directory in Harddisk
2. look for the filename symcjit.dll.
3. Rename each copy of the symcjit.dll to symcjit.old.
4. Run the setup.exe from the Harddisk.
Please provide more information.
