Hello,

I keep getting this error every time I want to connect to my database through SQL Plus 9.2.0.1.0.

I can connect without any problems through the OEM 9.2.0.1.0.

Any suggestions?

My tnsnames.ora seems to be ok (at least it is exactly like the one that one of my workmates have and in his computer he can connect without any problems... he has installed only Oracle client tools)

Thank you,

Cynthia

Hi,
I too have faced this problem and i just renamed the sqlnet.ora to "sqlnet.ora.old" and now its working fine.
But there renaming is the file not only reason for getting ORA-12154.Try renaming the sqlnet.ora and if still the problem persists,

Have you configured your Node in Net8Assistant?This problem that you are facing might be due to that if you are accessing a database over a network. You have to define the service name in net8assistant.You can ask one of your co-workers about it.

Hope that ur problem will be solved.
