Can you give me steps for generating statpack report?

hi

Below are the steps to generate a STATSPACK REPORT
Firstly set timed_statistics on by command
->alter system set timed_statistics=true
NOw
->Create tablespace statspack(at least 64 MB)
->Run spcreate.sql as sysdba
->Connect perfstat/perfstat
->execute statspack.snap
Then after 15 more mins.
->execute statspack.snap
Now ->select name,snap_id from stats$snapshot,v$database
Now Create report by
Sql>@ /usr../oracle/rdbms/admin/spreport.sql
-> enter both snap-Ids
and u will be having a report

I liked Mahesh's answer better. It is nonsense to install statspack and create (manually!) snaps without reading the docs.

i already run using mahesh solution..but the problem is i want to look that file..n i search but no files found..help me!!...im using the default name...

Well, I swear, it is not my solution. It is Oracle's own solution.Smile
What files are you talking about here?
