hello,
I'm hoping you could help me with the following problem I'm having:
I installed Oracle 10g R2 on my winXP laptop. it installed fine, no probs. The next time I started it up, it gave the following error:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory does not exist
* the service 'OracledbconsoleOracle' gave the following log-message:
"Agent process exited abnormally during initialization."
* The service OracleServiceORACLE is started, and when I stop & restart it, I don't have this problem and I can use the database fine.
* the only system environment variable I find is PATH-variable:
C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_home\bin;
* In the logfile C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_home\log\laptoprvr\client\css.log I found:
2005-10-27 11:02:14.734: [ OCROSD][1056]utgdv:1:could not open registry key SOFTWARE\Oracle\ocr os error Het systeem kan de opgegeven omgevingsoptie niet vinden.
2005-10-27 11:02:14.734: [ OCRRAW][1056]proprinit: Could not open raw device
2005-10-27 11:02:14.734: [ default][1056]a_init:7!: Backend init unsuccessful : [33]
2005-10-27 11:02:14.734: [ CSSCLNT][1056]clsssinit: error(33 ) in OCR initialization
This is about all info I could find that I thought would be helpful.
Does anyone know what to do?
Thanx!
R@mon
