Hi

I have oracle 10G 10.0.1.4.0 running on linux i383GNU 2.4.21-15 and Im trying to export the data out, does not matter what I do I keep getting this error message
EXP-00008: ORACLE error 1041 encountered
ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
I did try to unset EXTSHM but did not work.

I dont know what to do? HELP

Any word from Oracle regarding this error? My user has two installations of oracle client. Should I have uninstall one version and uninstall/reinstall PL/SQL Developer?

i am also facing this problem.
i am starting up the db with upgrade option.

i need permanent cure

can anybody help me out in this regard?
