There's no more space in the server. It keeps on sending error messages which are misleading 'ceroo is down' (where ceroo is a database).. but i can actually log in.

Where do I actually control the sending of alerts? How do I see where it originates? any helP?

Must be some of your Custom written scripts / cronjobs.
Look into crontab
