For installation of oracle 9i server
on standalone mc, do we need server software of Windows xp installed on the machine??
(Assuming I am using XP os)

hi,

You can install oracle 10g database server on windows XP... but to install oracle 10g AS (Application server) on windows XP you have to do some more things on XP.

Note:- I had install oracle 10g database on my XP machine and and i had not configured windows XP for oracle 10g database.
