Hi,

Can someone kindly advise why the roles like DBA, CONNECT, RESOURCE, etc can disappear from my database? These resulted in connection problems when I try to login as other schema users.

There is only one way! Somebody did this - 

SQL> DROP ROLE resource;

Role dropped.
