I've noticed that people tend to use IM speak ( txt.tlk ) more and more.

I for one think it's horrible, hard to read, unprofessional. Shouldn't we make a sticky concerning this subject? I have directed several newbies to the sticky in the newbie forum but somehow the message doesn't come through...

I'd like to have other people's opinion on this.
- Does IM speak irritate you?
- Would a separate sticky help?

Frank, maybe it's possible to create a "fair warning" à la asktom when a new topic/reply is created?

Perhaps im exaggerating, but I really hate this kind of writing.

I completely agree - it drives me crazy too. You guys are more than welcome to post such a sticky.

We are busy with a much needed site redesign (this site is after all already 10 years old), I will see if we can introduce something like this in future.
