Got activestate perl 5.8 on my XP machine.
After installing Oracle Database 10g, i saw that this installation sets the PERL5LIB environment variable. Oracle 10g is delivered with perl 5.6

If this PERL5LIB variable is set I can not execute perl 5.8 commands (like ppm).
I tried also to prefix the perl 5.8 lib-path to the PERL5LIB variable, but this does not change anything.

My questions:
Is there a way to run perl 5.8 commands (like ppm) without unsetting the PERL5LIB variable ?

Is the first entry or the last entry in the PERL5LIB variable determining ?

Thanks
