Hi,

We migrated our Oracle database on two fronts: (1) Migrated from Oracle 9.1 to 9.2 (2) Migrated from 32-bit to a 64-bit environment. The new setup is HP Itanium2 rx4640 servers running 64-bit Windows 2003.

We were experiencing normal CPU utilization levels on 32-bit environment (average of 20-30%). The same database moved to the new 64-bit environment is showing 80-100% utilization levels. The Oracle.exe itself is taking up a very high CPU resource (50-80%)

We have checked Oracle parameters but have found no clue. In the OS parameters, the Processor Queue Length is exceedingly high (varying from 17 to 30).

Can anyone suggest what to do? What parameters to check for 64-bit environments? Is there a solution for such a case?
