Hi,

I got the following error in my application. Can anyone tell me any pointers to solve this problem?

Error:
ORA-22813: operand value exceeds system limits
Cause: Object or Collection value was too large. The size of the value might have exceeded 30k in a SORT context, or the size may be too big for available memory.
This was a bug in oracle database server release 8.1.7.0.0 and fixed in the patch set 8.1.7.2.0
I believe this would not be existing in oracle 9i or 10g releases. (Please let me know if this is wrong). This error could be solved by setting some database parameters to some limits. Do anyone have idea what parameter needs to be set and how to identify the limitation of the parameter? Or is there any other way to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance
Rohini

Hi Rohini,

Just to correct you that this error "ORA-22813 Operand Value exceeds System limits" still existing in oracle 9.2.0.6 version.
i am getting this error while inserting around 4,00,000 records in a single insert into select statement.

At the moment, I dont have any solution of this!!! If you have then let me know.

Thanks
Sachin
