Hi ,
I have a java program in which i have a main() method. I want to invoke the main() method every night at 12 using oracle scheduler. I am using oracle 10g.

How to configure the scheduler to invoke a java method?
Any samples , links are welcome.

Regds,
Srikanth

Read chapter "Using the Scheduler" in the Database Administrator's Guide.

Here is an untested example to get you started:

BEGIN
  DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB (
    job_name        => 'my_java_job',
    job_type        => 'EXECUTABLE',
    job_action      => '/usr/bin/java /path/to/myClass',
    repeat_interval => 'FREQ=DAILY;BYHOUR=23',
    enabled         => TRUE
  );
END;
/

Best regards.

Frank
