Problems with OCI for the Apple OSX [message #121747] Tue, 31 May 2005 16:09

I'm using the Oracle Instant Client 10g for Apple Mac OSX in my application and am having the following two problems:

1) when starting an application based on the OIC 10g the loader reports the following error message:
"can't open library: /b/729/rdbms/lib/libclntsh.dylib.10.1".
It seems as if the dynamic library of the instant client 10.1 for Apple OSX would use a hard coded library path instead of checking the path DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.

2) What character set should be used when running on a Apple MAc OS X platform.

Thank you and please copy to my email address macintosh@qualiant.at,
