The Oracle Applications Designer/Developer will have strong experience in designing and developing technical solutions for Oracle Applications including conversions, extensions, interfaces and reports. These consultants will possess a deep understanding of the Application technical architecture. In addition, these consultants will possess high level functional knowledge in one or more of the five major Business Flow areas (Financials, Manufacturing, SCM, HRMS, CRM). The core competencies for these consultants should be Oracle development tools that will enable them to design and develop Application extensions, integrations, conversions, EDI/XML transactions, reports modification/creation, AOL/CRM foundation, standard Applications workflows, any new application schema changes and new techniques to create extensions such as JTF, OAF (used in 11.5.10), and web services.
Knowledge or Proficiency Areas
The Oracle Applications Designer/Developer has strong knowledge in the following areas:
·Understanding of the technical components related to one of the above mentioned business flow including proper standards for developing supportable Applications extensions (EBSO or Development Standards).
·Knowledge and experience with Open Interfaces and APIs.
·In depth knowledge of AIM Foundation, AIM for business flows, and EMM Upgrade Methodologies. This consultant should be able to develop any of the technical document deliverables called for in the methodology.
·In depth understanding of integration alternatives including EDI and XML and how to apply the alternatives to the Oracle e-Business Suite.
·In depth knowledge of various file transfer methods and how they relate to the EBS
·In depth knowledge of the Oracle Application schema
·Hands on experience in Forms, Reports, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, OAF, and the Customer Data Hub.
·Proficiency with tools use to support Oracle Applications development incluing, but not limite to, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Forms, Reports, Workflow, Discoverer, Java, JSP, Java Beans, Web Services, XML.
·Technical components of the E Business Suite and other Oracle products including future direction
·Knowledge and experience with the Open Interfaces and APIs
Responsibilities
The responsibilities are as follows:
·Develop technical design documents for Conversions, extensions, interfaces, and reports. (Only for EBS)
·Modification of Oracle Applications standard reports and creation of any new reports
·User interface modification of any of the bolt on iProducts (iexpense, iprocurement etc) for Oracle Applications.
·Developing extensions using Oracle recommended framework or tool set.
·User Interface/Workflows customization
·Reporting against the Applications Data Model.
·Ability to lead and coordinate across technical teams, including client team members, partners, subcontractors, and offshore.
·Develop conversions or interfaces from EBS to Data warehouse (extract out of Apps and import into Apps). Any work that is on the data warehouse side is outside the knowledge area of the Apps tech consultant.
·Technical Configuration of products such as iPayment, iProcurement Punchout and others.
·Knowledge and experience with the Open Interfaces and APIs
Must be able to travel 100%
