Is it possible to find the IP address of someone who posted in a forum or is that just an out of the question hacker-like thing to do. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not quite a newb but I have my moments where I just don't know something.

Only the forum moderators can see user's IP Addresses. For security and privacy reasons, this information cannot be made available to anyone else.
