Hi,

In a windows environment you always link to the dynamic library ${ORACLE_HOME}/bin/oci.dll.

This library provides the network or direct shared memory connections to the database via the library function calls for creating handles for session, server and context before calling the server_attach function.

All Oracle client applications connect to the database using the OCI interface.

Follow documentation link on http://technet.oracle.com.

Kind regards,
