What's the difference between Run_Report and Run_Product?
Does one have an advantage over the other?

Well, at first glance:
run_report_object is a function. It returns the status.

I also believe that one of them uses a report server whereas the other uses the report background engine (but I'm not sure of this).

There should be more differences...

Hi,

You can use RUN_PRODUCT to invoke other oracle products also like graphics etc..

But RUN_REPORT_OBJECT is used to invoke only reports.
