Hi Everyone,

I want to use oracle 10g internet directory, does anyone know if OID requires oracle application sever?. Can i install it without 10gAS?
OID stores it's data entries in oracle 10g database, How is this data stored, does it store them as rows?.

Regards,

Moe

Hi,

I found the following quotes that might help:

"A restricted-use license for Oracle Internet Directory (OID), a component of Oracle Identity Management, is included with all (database) editions if users use the Directory Naming feature to configure Oracle Net Services. OID may not be used or deployed for other uses."

"Users wishing to use Enterprise User Security in Oracle Database Enterprise Edition no longer need to license the Oracle Advanced Security Option for password-based authentication. However, they must license the Oracle Identity Management Option, which includes Oracle Internet Directory (OID)."

Best regards.
