We just upgraded the main network to Windows 2003 server and it's causing some strange problems. I have 3 Win95 computers which can still connect to my 7.3.3.0.0 system and two that are giving a error that mwinsock is failing to load. On these two I am also getting the proverbial TNS-03505 error.
This is not a standard TNSNAMES.ORA problem. The three that are connecting have the exact same Oracle client (both 16 and 32 bit versions). You can copy the orawin and the orawin95 directories from a computer that is not connecting to one that is, and it still connects. Something is causing mwinsock to not load, and this seems to cause all of the problems.
Any ideas?
