Hi,
I am new to Reports on UNIX. We have Reports6i installed on HP Unix box.
I have in my PATH variable all Oracle req details.
I am using reflection to open a dtterm session with Unix.
Thereafter I am invoking rep builder on command line
$ rwbld60.
It starts up the report builder on X. I am able to locate rdf file and compile it also, however when I try to run the report, this message appears.
"Please contact your IT support team to install the front-end interface. This report will NOT run without the interface."
Have no clues about what front end it is talking about.
Need desperate help !

Do you have a
1) graphics card & console?
or
2) Xvfb configured and running on the server?
3) DISPLAY should be set to localhost:0.0
4) access control must be disabled (xhost +) on the console in order for reports to display on users' machines.
I've been dealing with Oracle reports 6 on Solaris 8 & 9 for the past 2-3 years from a sysadmin perspective....and it's no picnic!
And Oracle support is an oxymoron....
