My BlackIce firewall is configured to automatically do a NetBIOS trace back to any PC that attempts to infect my PC. Part of the information it captures is the IP address of the offending PC. In most cases, the owners of those PC's that attempt to infect my PC have no idea their PC's are infected with a worm or virus. When I have time I normally contact their ISP to have them notify the person to check their PC for worms/viruses. But often, they want me to jump through all kinds of hoops. I would prefer instead to simply send a message to their PC as a pop-up window with a command similar to NET SEND. However, NET SEND doesn't seem to work for IP addresses that are outside of my LAN. Is there some way to send pop-up messages to IP addresses on the internet? Thanks.
