how can i stop win 2000 clients use the net send, knowing that iam sitting at the server and i am working as administrator........please help me do that quickly..........soma

to stop the net send messages at your computer
you have to type "net stop messenger" so your
messenger is disabled !!

run the command net stop messenger

You will still be able to send, to reactivated it use the command net start messenger

To disable it totally, right click your computer icon,
-clik manage
-clik service and application
-clik service
-in the right pane, go to messenger and double clik it
- in the startup type, goto disable. exit by saving
