Currently running Oracle 8.1.5 on Netware 5.1 sp1. Has been running solid for 2 years.

Need to patch this server to SP5 in prep for other Netware 6 installs/upgrades, but am quite nervous about maintaining Oracle functionality as I have a number of company-critical apps running on here.

Novell's position is this is unsupported software due to Oracle's decision to drop Netware support.

Has anyone upgraded to SP5 and experienced problems/no problems with Oracle 8.1.5?

Thanks.

We are running 8.1.6 with SP5. core81.nlm seems to cause memory problems and have to reboot our server once a week. We are hoping that 8.1.7 will solve the problem.

How are things running for you?

Just applied sp5 and TCP058o patches to our NW 5.1 sp1 server running Oracle 8.1.5.

SP install went fine. Oracle seems good, but we'll keep an eye on it in light of your comments above.

Have full Portlock Software images of the pre-sp5 server, just in case!
