Hi all. I have Oracle 9i installed on server. All setting are default. On other computer in the network I installed Oracle 9i client. In client settings I created Service Naming, all presets are right. When I try to connect via SQL*Plus I have error TNS-Lost contact. Now most interesting - if I load on the server some heavy application, game Half Life or other, the I can be connected to the server, when the game is closed I still can work via SQL*Plus, but if I close SQL and try to connect again - lost contact. Open game - successful. It means servers answer only when it have not all computer resources?
Please help.
P.S. Sorry for my English:)

HI
ORA-12547: TNS:lost contact
Cause: Partner has unexpectedly gone away, usually during process startup.
Action: Investigate partner application for abnormal termination. On an Interchange, this can happen if the machine is overloaded.
Enable tracing for listener & then check the sequence of events.
Regds
