Hi all,

Though the documents on 9i MVIEW insist that there's been tremendous improvements on making mview fast refresh-able on commit, I've failed to make my 4 ~ 6 table joining and aggregating query into fast refreshing mview.

To work around that, I've decided to make them, there are more than 20 mviews to make, refresh complete on demand and make use of dbms_mview.refresh/refresh_all/refresh_dependent.

Since the underlying tables change not so frequently, I wish those proc's be intelligent to check the status of every mv and only refresh stale ones.

So my question is that are they intelligent?

If not,

I may make use of 'all_mview_analysis' sys table which seems to offer me enough information to decide the status of mv.

Prompt response will be highly appreciated.
